As a personal graphic designer, I like to work with my clients to provide the best visual representation for your brand. I want to make sure you get the most for your money! My job is to listen to every idea and customization and make sure your images are attention-getting and influential the way you want them to be.

One reason I got into graphic design is because I was fed up with companies taking advantage of anyone with JD, MD or any other alphabet after their name. Being married to a solo attorney I know exactly how much small firms make and you all deserve a break!

The biggest difference between me and the larger design firms (aside from price) is customization. You are free to do whatever you wish when I’m designing, and I highly encourage it! I also have no extra costs, no hidden fees, and I do not tack on expenses outside of what is defined in my contract.

I have an online portfolio if you would like to see some of my work. I can also send you a sample packet of some of my work. I know I always like to have physical samples in my hands, especially when making decisions concerning my business!

My design processes are fairly streamlined so you do not have to spend time worrying if your brand is being taken care of. I understand how busy you are.

Here are the basics for a greeting card and/or postcard (“flat card”) design:

  • $380.00 (paid half to start and half upon completion)
  • Two (2) unique creations in color and/or black and white (grayscale)
  • Initial revision round will have two (2) unique concepts based on your response to the greeting card questionnaire
  • Two (2) revisions with PDF proofs
  • The initial revision has a “drawing board” option: if you are unsatisfied with the initial concepts, you can ask for a completely new concept
  • “Pause clause”: after you receive each revision, you will have as much time as you need to review your drafts. However, after the third day the “Pause Clause” will go into effect, which will put your project on hold on my end until you contact me to let me know you are ready to continue.
  • Layered design files created in Photoshop (PSD) for your specified website or printer with full bleeds and trim, to your specified size
  • iStock Leniency Credits: for your convenience I give my clients up to 35 iStock credits towards their current project without added cost. If we need images from iStock.com, I will first show you a proof that will have the standard iStock logo so you can decide if you would like to use it for your project. Once I get your approval, I pull from your 35 credits. If I need to go over your credit allotment for any reason, I purchase additional credits at $1.50/credit.
  • PDF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, or other file types in various sizes for you to use
  • A CD of all files created for your job, which will be mailed to you upon completion of work
  • Once my work is completed, I assign all rights, etc. to you; I ask for permission to use completed work in my portfolios, artistic presentations, etc. (It seems odd to mention this, but there are designers that try to retain rights)

To get started I have an online Greeting Card Design Questionnaire that you can fill out at your leisure. Your answers will be submitted directly to me. I then go through this with a fine tooth comb to make sure I have no questions and format it all for into a design contract for you (so you can double check that I’m on the right page and it has all the legal big words, etc.). Once everything is signed and whatnot, I work my design magic!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’m happy to help in any way I can!

Roger Bartlett, Custom Business Card

Roger Bartlett, Custom Business Card

Mr. Bartlett asked me to design a new look for his business cards. He wanted something fresh with more color, but not too “out there”. I paired some toned colors with a traditional serif font, but added a washed signature in the background from a font that is a nod to the Founding Fathers.

Nicole took my vague idea—that I wanted to update my business card from the format probably used by the legal profession for the last 100 years to something more colorful and engaging—and produced a design with a creative element and tasteful colors. She listened to me, was prompt and wonderful to work with, did a turn-key job for me, and was not expensive. I highly recommend her.
